La Palma volcano: Drone video shows black lava swallowing pool, homes on its way to coast

  • Publicado el 20 sep 2021
  • Drone footage showed lava from Spain's La Palma volcano swallowing a swimming pool and houses as it spread toward the coast.
The Canary Islands' first volcanic eruption on land in 50 years has forced authorities to evacuate over 6,000 people and to urge sightseers attracted by the phenomenon to stay away.
No fatalities or injuries have been reported since the eruption on Sunday, but drone footage captured the black lava cutting a devastating swathe through the landscape as they advanced down the volcano's western flank toward the Atlantic ocean.

I can’t imagine how devastating it is to watch your home, places full of memories, to slowly be engulfed by stone and ash and not be able to do anything about it.

      @JB That's true.
A house/home can be build. We can't build family.
It's only sad/bad for the inhabitants that live in the destroyed towns.
They loose their homes and memorys.

And the answer is...... oh... I'm so sorry. The answer is that determinism would indeed be real, but as far as most be concerned, free will is a perfectly acceptable way of perceiving this.

I couldnt imagine watching the lava flow creep slowly towards my home, just to devour everything in its path and what makes its worse, is that you can never return home again. The total helplessness that you would feel watching your home and your town being slowly but inexorably destroyed is heartbreaking to contemplate. What a humbling experience, watching this! Ultimately humanity is totally defenseless against nature's (and ultimately God's) power! My heart goes out to the families, especially to the young and innocent children, who used to play around these houses! Their little voices, now displaced to somewhere else. Stay safe and I pray that God provides a way for you to re-establish your lives! There are surely lessons to be learned here. PS 46 "God is our refuge" - He is in charge!!! He has allowed this to happen... He has his reasons and I respect that. He will also show you and provide for you on the way forward, however difficult it may seem! God Bless!

No speculation please, but i'm just curious if anyone actually KNOWS what happens to the property and the owners after such an event?
Does all that molten rock (once cooled and solidified) now belong to them as it is all over their property? Can they search it for valuable resources that are sometimes found in lava flows and sell them?
It must suck so hard because I imagine selling your property to buy a new place to live would be next to impossible when it was 10 feet under volcanic rock.

We're just pooooor creatures in front of HIM whatever we do.
The thing is : NO ONE is goona die before knowing WHY we are here.
ALLAH promised us that you want die and No one can kills you before you know what's HIS REAL MESSAGE. no exception.
ALL the MOUNTAINS on EARTH are CREATED to KEEP THE earth WITHOUT ANY seisms. So if you feel the weakest earthquake : be sure : a WARNING MESSENGERs FROM ALLAH. not a laziness from mounts.
Neither The good things mean that ALLAH loves you ; NOR bad things means ALLAH Hates you.
Good things : To be thankful to ALLAH every moments.
Bad things : I must ask ALLAH what's wrong with me and KEEP asking him until HE enlightens me more and more "When HE decides". not when I order him.
Finally , THE ONLY THING that ALLAH NEVER forgives ( ACCORDING TO EL-QURAAN ) : is Worshipping another one with HIM : People , Sciences , Theories , Prophets , friends , beloved pesons or things , yourself , your interests , FAST results , your desires , ...
Why would I love something more than my love to the ONE who created this thing ???
Why would I LOVE Mum more than THE ONE who created mum then created me inside her body !!!!!
Only the enemies of GOD who do such thing : worshippng a person , a Theory ! , an interest ... and try to kill anyone who reminds them that ALLAH ordred us to ask Pardon and Help from HIM officially on our UNIVERSITIES.
This is the REAL Axial Message of jesus , mohamd , moussa , Ibrahim , ... ...
Either you proove to yourself that EL-QURAN is not A MESSAGE FROM ALLAH.
Or - if not - you should start preparing yourself to your eternal DESTINY...not like the majority.

I'm sorry Amigo I forgot all the Spanish they taught us in Filipinas. Allah/Jesus will help you if you help yourself. Evacuate and follow your government instructions. Eruptions is just temporary but your life is all that matters. Your island will become fertile and I heard lots of precious stones coming out from that Eruptions. Filipinas islands is nothing without those volcanoes same in Canary islands. You have a beautiful place. Wipe those ashes and build farther away when it's all done. God works in a wonderful way. Your ancestors that build our churches in the islands knows exactly how to deal with the danger. They built a strong church to withstand the Typhoons, earthquake and volcanoes. Iloilo City where I grew up was the last strong hold of the Spanish empire in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Queen Isabella declared it "La Muy Leal y Noble Ciudad"( The most Loyal and Noble City). Praying for all your safety in La Palma.

@J-Money Spain's government typically provides economic relief on areas where a natural catastrophe is declared. There's a specific government agency that covers natural disaster damages excluded by those clauses in private insurances for anyone who did have a private insurance contract and is affected by a natural disaster.

Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death.
While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes.
Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way.
It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......

@Jason O We agree. Most of Northern California still holds the 'State of Jefferson' dream close to heart. You'll see flags in many yards, billboards, stickers in windows and on cars everywhere around here. They think without their tax dollars NorCal will shrivel and die, there are definitely those living on the governments handouts but most of us up here live off our land and have for generations, we'd welcome flushing out those living off the government ninny to the socialist south of the state. Our communities have really started coming together up here and are trying to change things in our government from the bottom up. It's a monumental task and since all the red areas of the state just burned its chaotic but it did, forgive my pun, light a fire under some a$$es. I know most of the state sucks but I wish conservatives would move in and push the idiots out and tip the scales, it's a shame for a beautiful state like ours to be wasted and abandoned because of the useful idiots.
